Yealink T53W & W611W — Wi-Fi Connection Guide

Quick reference for connecting a Yealink T53W or W611W handset to a wireless network.

This guide covers Wi-Fi connection steps for two different Yealink handset models. Use whichever section matches the handset you have.

Yealink T53W — Connecting via the Settings Menu

  1. Press the Menu button, located on the bottom right-hand side of the upper panel.
  2. Scroll to Option 3 (Settings) and press OK to confirm.
  3. Select 1 (Basic Settings).
  4. Scroll to Option 8 (Wi-Fi) and press OK to open the Wi-Fi settings menu.
  5. If the Wi-Fi status is displayed as Off, use the left or right arrow keys to toggle it on, then press OK or Save to confirm.
  6. Once enabled, additional options will appear. Scroll to Available Network(s) and press OK.
  7. Locate the required network in the list. If it is not visible, press Scan on the upper panel to refresh the list.
  8. Select the required network and press OK.
  9. When prompted for the network password, scroll down to Show Password and use the left or right arrow keys to enable it, so the password is visible while entering it. Enter the password as normal, then confirm to complete the connection.

Yealink W611W — Connecting via the Wi-Fi Quick Access Icon

  1. From the handset’s idle screen, press OK to open the quick access menu.
  2. Locate the blue Wi-Fi icon and press OK to select it.
  3. If the Wi-Fi status is shown as disabled, press the left or right arrow key once to enable it.
  4. To connect to a new network, scroll to Known Network and press OK.
  5. Password visibility is disabled by default. To enable it, highlight Password Display and use the left or right arrow keys to toggle it to Display.
  6. Enter the network password as normal.
  7. To switch between character sets (123, abc, ABC, 2aB, etc.) while entering the password, press the # key. To toggle between special characters and symbols, press the key.

Additional Notes

If either handset fails to connect after following the applicable steps above, confirm that the wireless network is broadcasting correctly and that the password entered is correct. If the issue persists, restart the handset before attempting the connection process again.
